Enjoy the Montmartre life with restaurants of various cuisines, discovering young designers in Paris and admire the heights of Montmartre. Paris awaits you, you smiled paris.

The Montmartre-Moulin Rouge neighborhood extends over the entire 18th arrondissement and part of the 9th arrondissement. It includes the former village of Montmartre, annexed by the city of Paris in 1860. The Montmartre hilltop is the most touristy neighborhood of Paris, with the Sacré-Coeur basilica, which dominates Montmartre hill. At the bottom, Place Saint-Pierre is the meeting place for fabric merchants, with the Saint-Pierre market, which is the best and oldest of all the markets. It is very pleasant to walk around the Place des Abbesses and its neighboring small streets. The northern 18th arrondissement, after the rue Ordener, is less touristy but also very pleasant. A must see is the rue du Poteau and all its food merchants. Here it is the real Paris, the Paris of Amélie Poulain is rue Lepic, a bit to the west. Rue Lepic is famous for its appetizing storefronts, bakeries, delicatessens, greengrocers, confectioners…everything here is made to make you want it. At night, the famous Moulin Rouge and its dancers await you. Place Pigalle will also make you want, late at night, but in a different vein. It is the plaza for night owls that separates the 18th and 9th arrondissements. This arrondissement is more calm and just as pleasant as the previous one, with many restaurants. It is a neighborhood that is well-served by buses, to the south by the metro, and which is ten minutes from the Gare Saint-Lazare. Ideal for a picturesque stay in Paris.
